#stayathome - und Gute Reise!

TL,DR: Zu Hause bleiben und trotzdem andere Welten bereisen? In Kürze startet hier eine Serie von Texten, die auch Neueinsteigern einen Weg zu den Welten hinter dem Bildschirm zeigt - ein Reiseführer in die Welt der Videospiele, für Menschen mit und ohne Kindern.

Dass Videospiele nicht nur Gegenstände sind, sondern auch Orte, steht sowohl im Namen dieses Blogs als auch in seiner DNA. Und wann wäre dieser Umstand erfreulicher als genau jetzt, wo uns eine globale Pandemie dazu zwingt, auf den Besuch vieler realer Orte zu verzichten? Videospielourismus, das bedeutet einerseits, dass man sich auf eine Reise macht zu den Orten hinter dem Bildschirm, zum anderen aber auch: dass man einen anderen Blick als den alltäglichen auf das hat, was man dort findet.

Die Welten hinter dem Bildschirm, in die uns Videospiele einladen, sind tatsächlich einzigartig, bunt, kreativ und für Alt und Jung, Groß und Klein, Erfahren und Unerfahren eine Reise wert, ganz egal ob Kurztrip, Wochenendausflug, Abendspaziergang oder Haupturlaub. Keine bessere Zeit als jetzt, dieses Blog längst überfällig aus dem Dornröschenschlaf zu küssen und ein bisschen Videospieltourismus zu betreiben - mit einer mehr oder weniger regelmäßig stattfindenden Serie von Einladungen in die Welten hinter dem Bildschirm. Bekannte und noch unbekannte Gastautoren übernehmen unter dem Titel #stayathome - und Gute Reise! als erfahrene Tourguides die Reiseleitung und erzählen, wohin jeweils die Reise gehen könnte - als Anregung, Einladung und Einführung auch für all jene, die dieser Welt noch skeptisch gegenüberstehen.

Und weil viele von uns auch Kinder haben, wird auf das gemeinsame Spielen mit kleineren und größeren Videospieltouristen ein besonderer Fokus gelegt - nicht unbedingt streng und trocken im Sinne des “pädagogischen Spielens”, sondern als Angebot eines gemeinsamen Erlebnisses in Zeiten, in denen die eigenen vier Wände eng werden.
